David Magán presents in the Blanca de Navarra 9 space a single piece, under the name "Light Object".

Light Object 01 derives directly from the new Spectrum series, presented in the exhibition Matter Matters, recently dedicated to the artist at CAB de Burgos. It is a new body of work that, in the artist’s words, “evidences the material nature of light and its reflectance possibilities on different surfaces, transforming the space into an immersive experience where games of additive color are the protagonists”. On the construction of white plates, located in the exhibition space, the three primary colors of light are projected – red, green and blue – which are modulated through the geometry of the object. This theatrical play of light reveals, thanks to the white surface, parts of the visible spectrum, allowing the viewer to discover an infinity of color nuances.

Unlike Spectrum, this piece -which inaugurates a new series of constructed objects- moves away from the installation nature, and stands as a box in which the interior spaces reveal the materiality of the body and the different visual contrasts. Light Object 01 is an object subject to the space that surrounds it, and this in turn becomes dependent on the piece. Light and object transform architecture, generating a new void that is passable and habitable for the viewer.
