Galería Cayón is pleased to present in his spaces (Orfila 10 and Blanca de Navarra 7, Madrid) Al Taylor's (1948 Springfield, Missouri – 1999, New York) first solo exhibition in Spain.

"Pass the Peas and Shrunken Heads", Cayón, May 12 - July 3, 2015.

The exhibition will show a selection of works that belong to the series “Shrunken Heads” and “Pass the Peas”.

These works underline how the absence of any limits on the materials used by Taylor to create allowed him to study and investigate his relation with the world and the possibilites of visual experience.

More precisely, Taylor researchs about the circle and its multiple possibilities as a form. His interest deals with the movement effects and gravitational aspects of the concave and convex shapes.

Al Taylor’s works can be found in a number of magnificent public collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston or the Centre George Pompidou, Paris. In 2017 the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, will present a retrospective.
