Galería Cayón

Pablo Palazuelo
November 18, 2022 – January 13, 2023
Madrid

Cayón is pleased to present, in one of its Madrid spaces, the fifth individual exhibition dedicated to the figure of Pablo Palazuelo (Madrid, 1915 – Galapagar, Madrid, 2007) at the gallery.

The works that make up the exhibition reveal the plastic and sculptural conclusion reached by Pablo Palazuelo after more than 60 years of creative activity. By means of four sculptures -from different periods- that synthesize his career, a gouache on paper from 1972, and three oil paintings on canvas from his last years, this exhibition intends to be a synthesis of his coherent production.

Thus, based on a profound observation of the implicit order in nature, valued by himself as an unlimited element, he aspires to represent it in its most simplified appearance. Making use of geometry, an instrument that he considered fundamental to know the matter, the artist reveals in his compositions the hidden reality of the world around us.
