Galería Cayón is pleased to present a new exhibition by Pablo Palazuelo (1916-2007). At this time, the show comprises a selection of almost twetny different color works on paper, ranging from different creative phases of the artist; from his parisian years to some of his last works.
The show, will take place at the space in Blanca de Navarra 7, and carries the title Una materialidad más lejana, using one of Palazuelo´s famous sentences from his letters between him and Claude Esteban (Palazuelo, Claude Esteban, París, 1980, page. 108).
Palazuelo´s works focus on materiality, that expresses itself on various geometric shapes, full of energy. He is able to generate multiple shapes that need our effort and comprenhesion because only in that way will flourish those shapes from within our subconscious.
Thus, Palazuelo geometric shapes are conformed by complex elements, that are able to generate infinite variations (because they are all interconnected) and that very subtle make us discover familiar forms that awake inside of us.
