Joan Miró‘s paintings are unique despite having been influenced by the most predominant artistic movements of the early twentieth century. The legacy of the Catalan artist is extensive and one of the most important of his time. In fact, his work has gone beyond painting as Miró made important incursions into artistic disciplines such as sculpture, ceramics or tapestries, and his style has subsequently influenced techniques as diverse as graphic design or advertising.
