“Order is essential,” Fernando Zóbel would say. This exhibition traces his artistic journey from North America to Asia and Europe (1940–1980), showcasing his balance between structure and spontaneity: from the influence of Abstract Expressionism in Boston and Rhode Island, through his syringe paintings in Manila, to his black-and-white compositions in Madrid and his landscapes of Cuenca.
